Sometimes when an actress tries to go “plain” it can be annoying–are we really supposed to believe that because a pretty woman dyes her hair brown and wears glasses she is instantly undesirable? However, sometimes actresses can pull off the ugliness and make the audience look beyond their dowdy transformation and focus on their talent.

Stupid list. You applaud them for “uglying” it up, but then go on to say they look beautiful anyway. Also, this is probably what most of these women look like without the pounds of makeup and amazing lighting. Good job insinuating that transgenders are ugly, too.

Most of the women in this gallery aren’t ugly at all – they just resemble normal women. What does that mean? That you’re basically calling out anyone who doesn’t look like an overprocessed movie star for being “ugly.” I’d also bet that the stars featured in this piece aren’t half “stunning” in jeans with their makeup washed off.

No they had to glue that nose on every morning when shooting that movie. Its just makeup, but its well done she does look totally different.
I think Heigl is ugly 24/7. At least she is less snooty looking on the left.

Linda Cardellini was the first time I considered Velma attractive. Yeah, the shoes are the only real problem I can see.
