Michael Johns Ousted on 'Idol'
The American Idol has landed—and the company line is he's not pissed. Michael Johns, still likely stinging from his shocking dismissal on AI, played nicely when he joined Ryan Seacrest on his KIIS-FM radio show Monday. So nice, in fact, his energy went into making Seacrest feel better about how it all went down.
"You gave me a look, as if to say, 'I don't want to be doing this right now,' and I really thank you at least for giving me that respect."
The loss goes both ways, as Ryan, poor thing, has lost a potential new mate: "I was actually bummed, because off the air, we used to shoot the breeze, and we had a good laugh or two."
Have no doubt, though, the Michael Johns train will keep on churnin'. The Sydney Morning Herald says Johns received a message from fellow Aussies Nicole Kidman and Keith Urban "saying I was their favorite and they watched every week."
And Ryan has offered to play the heck out of Johns' first single whenever it hits.
Then, once again, all will be right with the world.
