Fergie Makes Some Bags
Fergie sat down with OK! to yap about her new line of purses. She says she was inspired by her high school years.
”California Doll, that line is all about it. There’s tie-dye, there’s Jerry Garcia, it’s groovy. That’s when I was able to just go down to Venice Beach—go with a really big bag with all my stuff in it and walk around and just people watch.”
This sounds suspiciously like prostitution, but let’s give her the benefit of the doubt. The Black Eyed Pea also has another “street-influenced” line of bags called Chic Rocker coming out.
How does she maintain her busy recording/designing/stage-wetting career and not feel overwhelmed?
“I have my team. Like if you see everyone around me—I have my hair and makeup girl, my assistant. They’re very calm; they’re all about positive energy. There’re no drama queens. Everyone wants everyone else to have a positive experience. There are no agendas. I think it creates a healthy environment, and there are no boundaries to cross.”
Fergie, aka Stacy Ferguson, just recorded the perfectly awful new theme song to the new Sex and the City movie. It’s called “Labels or Love.” Hyperbole aside, “Kung Fu Fighting” is “Ode to Joy” compared with this mass-marketed swill.
