Miley Cyrus Covers Up on 'Vanity Fair' Photos

The fallout continues over Vanity Fair's May issue, featuring shots of teen role model and millionaire good girl Miley Cyrus seemingly topless, with only a sheet covering her barely postpubescent chest.

Ms. Cyrus, unhappy with the photos or under some sort of threat via her employer Disney, released an "official statement" of dismay: "I took part in a photo shoot that was supposed to be 'artistic,' and now seeing the photographs and reading the story, I feel so embarrassed," she said. "I never intended for any of this to happen, and I apologize to my fans who I care so deeply about."

Disney backs Miley's sudden epiphany, telling E! News, "A situation was created to manipulate a 15-year-old in order to sell magazines."

Uh, since when is Disney opposed to creating situations to deliberately manipulate 15-year-old girls in order to seize market share?

Vanity Fair has made Miley look something like a liar by releasing her interview from the magazine, a photo gallery of the shoot and full videoclick and judge for yourself.
