David Archuleta Wants a Look at Your Nose
He might have gotten the smack-down from American Idol season winner David Cook last week, but terminally upbeat Number Two contestant David Archuleta isn't sulking. According to People magazine, he's already dusting himself off and looking toward the future—and it doesn't necessarily involve singing.
"Lately, what I find most interesting is ear/nose/ throat doctor thing, which I know would take a lot of work and education, but it's something that interests me," noted the 17-year-old also-ran. "It is something that helps people who have had the same problems as me—like the whole hearing and nose congestion and problems with your voice."
After detailing his history of nose congestion, Archuleta addressed the rumors about his father Ken's reportedly overbearing demeanor during the competition. "[I]t’s kind of strange because there were really weird things," Archuleta revealed. "I heard one thing where he refused to give me water or something like that, and that’s the weirdest thing. I mean, I am 17 and you know, if I want water, I am pretty sure I would just go get it anyway!"
That's right, Dave; you can have anything you want. Except an American Idol championship. Nope; not yours.
