Drug Treatment Ordered for Gary Dourdan
Gary Dourdan, 41, was charged with three counts of felony drug possession at his arraignment on Wednesday resulting from his Palm Springs, California, arrest last month. At the Larson Justice Center, the actor pleaded guilty to drug possession of ecstasy and cocaine, and his heroin count was dismissed.
The just-killed-off CSI star was ordered to complete a 16-class drug-education program rather than face jail time. He could have faced up to three years and eight months in prison had he been ordered to serve time.
His lawyer, Shawn Chapman Holley, expressed his client's satisfaction with the decision, telling People magazine Dourdan was "grateful to the court for being understanding."
Lucky for him that he won't be spending any time behind bars. Jail is a rough place for cops. You can only imagine how they treat guys who pretend to be cops.
