Tom and Katie’s Low-Key Housewarming
Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes, in matching white attire, threw a star-studded housewarming bash at their new $35 million Beverly Hills estate on Saturday night. A reported 500 guests, including celebrities, film execs and Church of Scientology hierarchy, were serenaded by a full orchestra as they enjoyed a sit-down dinner catered by Wolfgang Puck. It’s not known if Xenu made an appearance to remove unwanted thetans.
The who’s who of A-listers included Eva Longoria Parker, Kimora Lee and Djimon Hounsou, Reese Witherspoon and Jake Gyllenhaal, Prince, Diddy, Ben Stiller, Dakota Fanning, Cuba Gooding Jr., Tobey Maguire, Rita Wilson, Oprah Winfrey and best friend Gail King (guess Steadman was off on a guys’ night), Kyra Sedgwick, Jeremy Piven, Kirstie Alley, Victoria Beckham, Brooke Shields, Jennifer Lopez and Keri Russell.
(Ah, but not everyone was invited—see who wishes they were.)
The 10,000-square-foot home boasts seven bedrooms and ten bathrooms…and maybe a little West Coast cave under the stairs for Suri. Again, no word on whether there’s a hangar for Tom’s spaceships.
The bash also served as a send-off for Katie, who is escaping leaving in the next couple of weeks for New York City to begin rehearsals for her Broadway debut in Arthur Miller’s All My Sons.
Wonder where Suri’s gonna stay?
