America’s Next Top Pre-Op Model?

In a network-television first, the next cycle of America’s Next Top Model will feature a transgendered contestant.

Or, at least, the first television personality to come out and admit she’s transgendered.

Among the participants in Tyra Banks’ latest exercise in the Stockholm Syndrome—which debuts September 3 on the CW—is Isis.

Isis is a 22-year-old former receptionist from Prince George’s County, Maryland, whose “cards were dealt differently,” according to Us Weekly.

“[I’m] a woman born physically male,” Isis tells the magazine.

Neil Giuliano, president of the Gay and Lesbian Alliance Against Defamation, lauds Isis’ inclusion on ANTM as “an unprecedented opportunity for a community that is underrepresented on television.” But the aspiring model is reluctant to become a role model.

“I like to help people, but I’m here to follow my dreams,” Isis admits.

Good luck, Isis! And watch your back. You might have a slight distance advantage in the constant pissing contest. But those undernourished vultures aren’t afraid to hit a girl—even one who was born as a man.
