Heather Locklear's Arrest Began with a Pair of Shades
Heather Locklear's DUI arrest in Montecito, California, on Saturday was the result of a "concerned citizen" calling 911 after witnessing two bizarre incidents the actress was involved in while reportedly under the influence of "prescription medication."
"Around 4:30 p.m., a female witness saw Heather Locklear driving erratically while leaving a parking lot in Montecito," California Highway Patrol spokesman Tom Marshall told People. "The witness said Locklear was revving her engine loudly, and backed over a pair of sunglasses several times."
The same witness later saw the actress blocking oncoming traffic with her car, and then exiting her vehicle. Police arrived, found her sitting in her car and acting "disoriented and impaired."
The recently troubled Locklear was arrested for DUI, although it was determined that "alcohol was not a factor." She was released on her own recognizance hours later.
Heather's lawyer Blair Berk had no comment.
