Morning Buzz: Janet Jackson Rushed to Hospital
TMZ reports that Janet Jackson had to cancel her Montreal show after she was taken to the hospital yesterday for an unknown ailment. The singer reportedly "got suddenly ill" during her soundcheck, and is currently under observation in an unnamed hospital, according to her reps. Jackson also cancelled and rescheduled her Detroit show on Friday due to "production constraints."
Britney Spears told NYC radio station Z-100 on Monday that she's planning a tour "definitely next year," Us reports. When asked where she'd be playing, Britney answered "Around the world." Her new album, Circus, drops on Dec. 2 which is Britney's 27th birthday.
Country singer Mindy McCready will reportedly be turning herself in today to serve time for a parole violation. Us reports that McCready will serve 60 days. She served time and then entered rehab in 2007 after violating probation in relation to her 2004 prescription drug fraud conviction.
TMZ reports that Disneyland will be shutting down early on Oct 5 to accomodate Miley Cyrus' 16th birthday party concert. The date coincides with the traditional (and unofficial) Gay Days celebration in which a multitude of gay men and lesbians patronize the theme park, wearing red. Non Cyrus party-attending patrons will be diverted to Disney's California Adventure theme park next door.
MSNBC reports that two people involved in Shia LaBeouf's July car crash have been charged with giving police false information. Herbert Simon, 22, and Kimberly Bent, 21 have been charged with one misdemeanor count each for reporedly telling authorities that Simon was driving when it was determined that Bent was behind the wheel.
