TMZ reports that actor Nick Nolte is blaming an electrical fire at his Malibu residence on a faulty printer. Nolte's home suffered $2 million worth of damage, and he is reportedly considering a lawsuit against the printer company. Witnesses say that he tried to fight the flames himself before the fire department arrived, and suffered minor injuries.
Us reports that injured Dancing with the Stars contestant Misty May-Treanor underwent surgery for a damaged Achilles tendon yesterday morning."I wanted to let you all know Misty had a successful surgery on her ruptured Achilles this morning," her rep said in a statement. "She is currently at home recovering." May-Treanor was forced to leave the competition due to her injury.
TMZ reports that the case involving misdemeanor charges against Britney Spears for driving without a license will go to trial. A pretrial hearing is set for tomorrow. Britney's legal team tried to have the charges dismissed, to no avail.
Us reports that Brad Pitt's Make It Right Foundation has reportedly raised enough money to build 90 new homes in Katrina-ravaged New Orleans. The news was announced by Pitt at a charity reception on Monday. Pitt says that his foundation's goal is to eventually build 150 new residences.
TMZ reports that Jessica Alba's "Declare Yourself" voting PSA in which she is bound in duct tape has resulted in a upsurge on the sale of bondage tape. Sex emporium JT's Stockroom reports that shoppers have come to the store, with the PSA in hand, looking to buy the same brand of reusable bondage tape that was wrapped around Alba in the photo.
