Morning Buzz: Gillian Anderson Gives Birth
People reports that X-Files actress Gillian Anderson gave birth to a son, Felix Griffiths, in London on Oct. 15. Felix Griffiths is said to have weighed 6 lbs., 15. oz., and is her second child with boyfriend Mark Griffiths. Anderson has a 13-year-old daughter Piper from a previous marriage.
E! reports that reality television star Nick Hogan, son of wrestler Hulk Hogan, has been freed from jail after serving 166 days of an 8 month prison sentence. Hogan was jailed for being found guilty of felony reckless driving after an accident which left best friend John Graziano in a permanent vegetative state. Hogan was released early due to credits from good behavior. He was released at 12:30 AM this morning and immediately taken to his family's Clearwater, Florida home.
In what's becoming a trend, Dancing with the Stars contestant Brooke Burns was taken to the hospital on Sunday afternoon after injuring her foot. People reports that doctors determined that it was a "severe bruise" and Burns will reportedly still be able to compete in the reality tv show competition on ABC tonight. Former contestant Misty May-Treanor had to withdraw from the show two weeks ago due to a ruptured Achilles tendon.
Us reports that Democratic presidential hopeful Barack Obama will fly to Hawaii on Thursday to visit his "seriously ill" grandmother Madelyn Dunham. "Recently, his grandmother has become ill, and in the last few weeks, her health has deteriorated to the point where her situation is very serious,” a source said. Duham is said to be "one of the most important people" in Obama's life, as she helped to raise him.
Page Six reports that famed LA gay bar The Abbey has created a shrine for screen legend Liz Taylor based around a gold-framed portrait of herself that Taylor donated to the bar. The infirm Taylor, 76, is a visitor to the bar when she gets out of the house and reportedly enjoys apple martinis and tequila shots. "Everyone here loves her. She speaks to everybody," a source says.
