Kate Winslet Is an Inner Tubbo

Kate Winslet graces the cover of the December Vanity Fair, and she has a big, big confession to make: Deep, deep down inside, she still feels like the chubby little girl she grew up as.

“I was fat. I didn’t know any fat famous actresses,” says Winslet, who’s made up to look like Belle de Jour sexpot Catherine Deneuve for the cover story’s pictorial. “I just did not see myself in that world at all, and I’m being very sincere.”

The insecurity created by her hefty past has stayed with Winslet, she adds: “You know, once a fat kid, always a fat kid. Because you always think that you just look a little bit wrong or a little bit different from everyone else. And I still sort of have that.”

As Winslet’s skin-friendly Vanity Fair photos attest, she’s clearly overcome any weight problems she may have suffered from as a child.

And it’s difficult to imagine the Holy Smoke actress puffing up again, thanks to her her daily weight-training and jogging regimen.
