‘Glamour’ Magazine Picks Greatest Gals of ’08

Forget that little election everyone is talking about today—the real leader in this culture has been announced, and it’s none other than A-List Queen Nicole Kidman.

Yes, is the spirit of November election goings-on, Glamour magazine throws their hat in the ring with the annual announcement of their Women of the Year.

Topping the list for 2008 is new mom Kidman, celebrated for her activism on top of acting. The Australia star spoke to the mag regarding the tumultuous past few years, from a high profile divorce to a higher profile re-marriage.

“I’m in a place of gratitude and humility. I don’t take any of it for granted. I touch wood every day. The journey of life—we all go through it: You have love, you lose love, you find new love,” Kidman said.  “To have love again is a beautiful thing.”

Rounding out the list with Nic is the trailblazing Hilary Clinton, Secretary of State Condoleeza Rice, mini-mogul Tyra Banks as well as athletes Misty May-Treanor and Kerri Walsh.
