Prince Owes Someone a Whiff
Prince, 50, who recently came out as against gay marriage in a New Yorker article, is being sued by a perfume company for not coming up with promotion for a scent named after him.
Yahoo! News reports that the diminutive and androgynous star is being sued by Revelations for $100,000 for neglecting to promote his “3121” perfume.
The scent was named for Prince’s 2006 album.
“Since July 2007, despite repeated attempts by Revelations there have been virtually no communications from anyone who could commit to or coordinate any promotional efforts by Prince,” the breach of contract lawsuit said.
A fragrance was released in 2007, and a follow up is due to be marketed in 2009.
Judging by cell phone enemy Prince’s recent condemnation of same-sex marriage, both colognes may smell a little fishy.
