Rashida Jones Is Back on the Job
Good news, Rashida Jones fans! The actress—who played Karen Filipelli on Season Three of The Office—is coming back to television. Her new series is spearheaded by The Office’s producers and former Saturday Night Live funny-lady Amy Poehler, according to the New York Post.
On the as-yet-unnamed series, which begins production in January and is scheduled to air in April, Jones plays a nurse named Ann.
Since departing from The Office early in Season Four, Jones—the 32-year-old daughter of music producer Quincy Jones and actress Peggy Lipton—starred in the Farrelly Brothers comedy series Unhitched, which lasted a mere six episodes.
After meeting actor 29-year-old John Krasinski—who played her on-screen love interest—on the set of The Office, Jones began dating him in real life. Don’t expect a torrid relationship between Rashida and SNL alum Poehler to develop, though.
Amy, 37, seems to be pretty attached to the new man in her life right now.
