Katie Holmes Mum over Miu Miu Deal

Despite tendencies to create her own garments, word is Katie Holmes, 29, is about to sign on as star of Miu Miu’s Sping 2009 ad campaign.

While reps for Holmes had no comment for Celebuzz, ads for Miu Miu (owned and designed by Prada empress Miuccia Prada) will reportedly feature Holmes as its high-fashion focal point—along with mere models styled to look like “accessories,” an insider said.

Mrs. Tom Cruise hasn’t pimped for products since a Garnier hair color deal in 2001. Given her proclivity to travel in a fashionable set, this deal makes perfect sense.

Not to mention the brand has been something of an actress magnet, counting Lindsay Lohan, Kirsten Dunst, Drew Barrymore and Johnny Depp parent partner Vanessa Paradis as former faces.
