How to Live Like…Kim Kardashian

Blogger extraordinaire, Kim Kardashian, everybody’s favorite celebutante, socialite, model, and TV personality lives large.

How does she do it, you ask?  Celebuzz wrangles the scoop on how to live like Kim!

Beauty:

With Kim’s constant stream of attention, the girl’s under a lot of pressure to keep looking good at all times (paps are constantly lurking in dark alleyways and neighbors’ lawns).  Luckily, Kim’s got it all under control in the beauty department. 

To keep her skin and oil glands acting right, Kim visits her dermatologist, Dr. Ava Shamban, for medical facials. She also frequents Aida Thibiant in Beverly Hills.

As for hair removal, Kim has kissed her waxing days goodbye. She much prefers lasers.

Makeup:

Kim’s face always looks flawless and not overdone. She doesn’t have a heavy-handed way of applying makeup. Here are some of her tips:

Start with a clean face. Then use Intuit “Photo Shoot.” Photo Shoot is a make-up primer. She puts it on after applying moisturizer. The primer fills in the pores on your face which will help set the foundation so it will last longer.

Then she uses Cle De Peau concealer stick in Ocre. She also uses M.A.C. concealer under her eyes to cover dark circles and blemishes. After applying concealer, she uses Make Up Forever liquid foundation. She blends it with the M.A.C. brush No. 180. To set the foundation, she lightly brushes on M.A.C. Select Sheer Pressed Powder with a big powder brush. To look slightly more tan, she lightly brushes on on M.A.C. Powder in NW 45.

Since Kim is obsessed with blush, she uses a color called Gingerly to warm her up.  She then adds a pink color called Cheek for a deeper hue. She just started getting into cream blush and find it works better and lasts much longer.

Time for the eyes! Her favorite part. She first uses a M.A.C. Paint pot in a light color that matches her skin called Painterly. Then she covers the entire eye lid. She loves colored shadow and some of her favorite shades include Carbon by M.A.C., Knight Divine or Print by M.A.C, Embark by M.A.C. and M.A.C. Pigment called Tan. She seals the look with a black eyeliner pencil by Stila.

The final touch is putting on lipstick. She usually uses M.A.C. Lipliner called Stripdown and a lipstick called Angel and she puts Nars Turkish Delight lipgloss on top.

Fitness:

By following the instructions of Kathy Kaehler, Hollywood trainer and former NBC Today Show fitness expert, you too can learn how to get Kim’s slammin’ body.

Kim wanted to focus on her arms, legs and famous backside. So in addition to her working out on the elliptical trainer and walking every day, she followed a toning program to target her hot spots. You can do it too, right at home. Here’s how:

Lunges. Start by standing up straight with your hands at your sides. Take a big step forward with your right leg, lowering the body until your right thigh is parallel to the floor. Straighten back up and repeat on the left side. Do three sets of 10 repetitions with each leg.

Sit-down squats. Start by standing in front of a chair and then sit down on the seat and stand back up. Do three sets of 15 reps.

Arm and leg opposition. Start on the floor on your hands and knees. Lift the right arm up and extend the left leg back so that both are parallel to the floor. Keep your abs tight and hold for 30 seconds. Repeat with opposite arm and leg.

Push-ups. If you can’t do military push-ups in good form, modify your technique by pushing up from your knees. Do three sets of 10 reps.

Triceps dips. Position yourself in front of a sturdy chair so that your arms are behind you with your palms grabbing the edge of the seat. Scoot your legs out in front. Now lower your upper body until your upper arms are parallel to the floor and then press back up. Do two sets of 12 reps.

Keep an eye out for Kim. It’s looking like she’ll have a permanent spot on future red carpets. She’s also an avid party girl and loves the spotlight.
