Morning Buzz: Amy Winehouse Back In Hospital

Amy Winehouse was taken to the hospital yesterday, after allegedly suffering from a drug and alcohol-induced seizure. The Sun reports that Amy underwent a battery of tests and is currently under the watch of doctors. Sources say that the seizure occurred after a binge stemming from a quarrel over the phone with husband Blake Civil-Fielder. Civil-Fielder is currently finishing the remainder of his prison sentence in rehab. Winehouse’s spokesperson says that Winehouse had “a bad reaction to the combination of medication she has currently been prescribed.”

Us reports that cancer-stricken Patrick Swayze has filmed his last scenes for the first season of his A&E cop show The Beast. Swayze, who is currently fighting pancreatic cancer, celebrated the end of taping with an appearance at Chicago’s Underground club with his wife of 33 years, Lisa Niemi. “He has so much energy that you don’t think about his health. In fact, I look a lot more tired than Patrick does, some of the other crew members look a lot more tired than Patrick…and I mean that, too, which is weird,” cast member Kevin O’Conner told Us.

TMZ reports that currently imprisoned suspended NFL player Michael Vick is being investigated for the IRS for not filing a 2007 tax return. Vick is in prison, serving time on a criminal conspiracy charge related to a brutal dog-fighting operation he had set up in Surry County, Virgina. Vick filed for bankruptcy that year, but he reportedly still owes $1.2 million to the IRS.

TV newsman Bryant Gumbel’s son Bradley, 29, was arrested by New York state troopers for reportedly driving under the influence, according to TMZ. Bradley’s 2005 Toyota 4-Runner SUV was seen driving erratically on the highway. When authorities approached the car, the younger Gumbel was reportedly sleeping and smelling of alcohol. Gumbel’s blood alcohol level was more than twice the legal limit for DUI, according to sources.

The Daily Mail reports that Sex and the City star Kim Cattrall has appeared topless for a British television show. Cattrall, alongside female performers of Cirque De Soleil, lost her shirt for a British photographer to recreate to recreate Titian’s masterpiece Diana and Actaeon. BBC 2’s The Culture Show challenged photographer Tom Hunter to create a modern version of the painting after Hunter supported the campaign to raise £50million to keep the work on public display in Britain.
