This fall and winter it's all about looking like you are taking a walk in the countryside. Think British hunting trip with a modern twist. And some of your favorite celebrities are wearing the look: Selena Gomez opts for a cute plaid dress, Renee Zellweger wears one in tweed, Zoe Saldana dons an amazingly adorable tweed vest and Keira Knightley puts on a pair of plaid pants.
I for one love this tweed Lauren Moffatt number I recently wore on The Bonnie Hunt Show. The fabric is old-school, but the fit and pattern is definitely new-school.
Another example of modernizing the country look is seen on Maria Bello: Notice the body-hugging fit of her pants and the perfectly-tailored structure of the jacket. Even her shoes put a modern spin on the hunting-trip look.
Make sure to pair these tweed and plaid pieces with a nice pair of leather boots or lace-up ankle boots. Add a medium-width, classic-looking brown or black belt and a plaid scarf and you are ready to go!
