Morning Buzz: Mariah Carey Pregnant?
Page Six reports that Mariah Carey may be pregnant. Sources say that Carey was spotted exiting the offices of a well-known OB/GYN on North Crescent Boulevard in Los Angeles “clutching what looked like a sonogram and being greeted by her entourage with cheers. She was ebullient.” A rep is denying the report however, saying “As far as I’m told it’s not true.”
TMZ reports that Shaha Mishaal Adham, the woman sought in the murder of actor Mark Ruffalo‘s brother Scott, has turned herself into police. Ruffalo died yesterday in an LA hospital from a gunshot wound to the head. Adham was accompanied by Brian Scofield, whom police say is a “person of interest” in the Ruffalo shooting. Scofield is said to have had an a misdemeanor traffic warrant out for his arrest from a case so he was also taken into custody. Scott Ruffalo, brother to Academy Award nominee Mark and a hair stylist by profession, was found with a gunshot to the head in his Beverly Hills apartment last week. He is currently in critical condition in a Los Angeles hospital.
Sources are denying reports that a house owned by American Idol winner Fantasia Barrino in Charlotte, NC is about to be foreclosed upon and auctioned off, reports TMZ. The $1.3 million 6-bed, 6,000-sq. ft. house will be auctioned off on January 12, 2009 due to missed mortage payments. Barrino, who is said to have another house nearby, bought the house in 2007. A source says that the situation is merely a miscommunication and Burrino missed attending a court hearing to resolve the issue.
Us reports that Lost‘s Josh Holloway‘s wife Yessica is pregnant with their first child. Holloway, who plays con artist/romantic hero Sawyer on ABC’s sci-fi mystery hit, says that he and his wife initially didn’t want children. “We have changed our minds … only recently,” Holloway said in March. “Basically, nature happened.” They have been married since 2004.
Nikki Finke Hollywood Deadline Daily reports that exiting Tonight Show host Jay Leno will reportedly be given a show in the 10 PM slot on NBC. Conan O’Brien is taking over the Tonight Show next year, and former SNL performer Jimmy Fallon is replacing O’Brien on the Late Show. Leno ends his stint on The Tonight Show on May 29th, and Conan O’Brien starts on June 1st.
