VIDEO: Christian Bale Swings Into ‘Terminator’

With The Dark Knight having earned a total of $529,696,290 in the North American box office, and $995,624,658 worldwide, it has become the fourth highest-grossing film of all time.

The film’s star, Christian Bale, is looking ahead with another successful franchise: Terminator.

Bale, 34, stars in the lead role of “John Connor” in the movie series’ fourth installment. Terminator Salvation is set in 2018 and focuses on the war between humanity and the machines employed by a corporation.

The film’s interactive poster—containing a Terminator machine with smoking eyes—was unveiled last week.

Terminator Salvation

The original Terminator was released in theaters 24 years ago. Directed and co-written by Titanic helmer James Cameron, the movie starred future California governor Arnold Schwarzenegger as the villainous title character.

Terminator Salvation is due out May 22, 2009.
