Scarlett Johansson Has Valuable Snot
As an actress in movies from Match Point to The Prestige, blonde Scarlett Johansson is known for bringing an added value to the screen with her beauty, her breathy voice and her wide-eyed but knowing charisma.
Now, Scarlett has brought added value to USA Harvest, one of her favorite charities, using only her snot!
The 24-year-old Woody Allen muse appeared on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno to promote her upcoming comic-inspired flick, The Spirit.
Halfway through the interview, Mrs. Ryan Reynolds paused to blow her nose in a tissue proffered by the lantern-jawed talk-show host.
Scarlett quipped that her cold, caught from The Spirit co-star Samuel Jackson, had a two-mega-star rating, therefore making the tissue doubly valuable.
Thus was born an eBay auction promo stunt to raise both awareness for USA Harvest (an organization dedicated to picking up excess food from restaurants, hospitals and food suppliers and delivering it to soup kitchens and shelters) and some hard green cash (with four days to go, the top bid on the tissue is already over $2,000).
The Spirit is a Frank Miller-directed adaptation of a Will Eisner comic-book epic, with Bronx-born Gabriel Macht, 36, as the title hero.
Eva Mendes appears as Sand Saref, Samuel Jackson is the Octopus, and Scarlett plays Silken Floss.
Whatever Scarlett's super powers are in The Spirit, they can't be superior to the power of her boogers to make a real-life difference for the better.
