David Beckham’s Italian Job

David and Victoria Beckham were all over Milan, Italy, this weekend to kick off Beckham’s three month stint with football’s AC Milan team as their new midfielder.

Milan is the place to be for the Beckhams. It’s not only one of the world’s couture capitals, but their soccer team is world class.

The soccer star, 33, and his fashion empress wife , 34, were spotted dining out on Saturday night with AC Milian VP Adriano Galliani at Al Ristorante.

Victoria went shopping on Sunday and had lunch at Giannino restaurant with Stefano Gabbana and Domenico Dolce, creators of the cutting-edge and iconic Dolce & Gabbana label. Giannino must have been ready to explode with all of the fashion giants squeezed in there at one time.

Perhaps looking to impress D&G, Victoria wore a dress of her own design.

Afterward, Becks and Posh were at San Siro Stadium so David could officially be welcomed to the team before their Italian Serie A match against Udinese. His new jersey (#32) was presented to him by little tykes wearing mini versions of the star’s.  A cheering crowd in the half-empty stadium welcomed their English kicker as a chilly-looking Victoria sat in the stands.

At least David didn’t have to be photographed with fish sticks this time around.

Beckham is on a three month loan from the L.A. Galaxy to AC Milan. He will play his first game against Roma in AC Milan’s next match on January 11. He’s playing for Milan in hopes that it will reclaim him a position on England’s team, which is in the running for the World Cup Finals in South Africa.
