Paris Hilton Paints Town Brown, Talks Burglary
There's just no keeping Paris Hilton down.
Even though her home had just been burglarized on Friday, the 27-year-old socialite and reality-TV sensation maintained a high profile in Los Angeles over the weekend, hitting up Dan Tana's restaurant in Hollywood with her Paris Hilton: My New BFF co-star, 24-year-old Brittany Flickinger.
Hilton wore a bejeweled brown frock for the occasion, along with Hollywood's hottest new noggin accessory, a headband. Of course, Paris being Paris, her variation on the theme was more bling-laden than most.
Not that Hilton was completely untraumatized by the domestic break-in. Hilton tells Life & Style magazine, "I am devastated. I cannot believe someone broke into my home. They took items that had such sentimental value that no one will ever be able to replace. I'm just thankful that I wasn't there when it happened."
According to an insider, Hilton lost millions of dollars in jewelry—"diamonds, necklaces, rings, watches and family heirlooms from her grandmothers"—in the heist. The source adds that the culprit is most likely someone familiar with Hilton's abode. "Paris has surveillance cameras set up in every room. The thief was wearing a black hoody and knew exactly where to go, like he's been there before."
Since the robbery, Hilton has focused on safety, the source says: "Paris has upped her security team to three 24-hour bodyguards, and she has someone on her property at all times."
And then there are the guard dogs....
