Morning Buzz: Lindsay Lohan Acknowledges Half-Sister
Lindsay Lohan took to her MySpace blog on Tuesday to confirm reports from June that her father Michael Lohan had fathered her half-sister with another woman during his marriage to Lindsay's mom Dina. "I have gone through a lot in my past, and to be completely honest, I am still going through a lot right now.. my father just let my family and I know, amongst others that he had another child after my little sister Aliana, or maybe he had it before Aliana?? either way, he cheated on my mother and that really sucks... MERRY CHRISTMAS!!!"
300 director Zack Snyder's film based on critically acclaimed graphic novel Watchmen may have a delayed release due to a recent court ruling. TMZ reports that Fox owns the rights to the movie (as far back as the 1980s), due to producer Larry Gordon never accquiring the full rights to the film before it was taken to Warner Bros. The film was originally set to released this coming March.
Singer/actress Eartha Kitt, best known for her rendition of "Santa Baby" and her role as the second Catwoman on the Batman TV series, died yesterday in NYC at the age of 81. Kitt's rep says that the performer was battling colon cancer. During her lifetime, Kitt was nominated for three Tony awards, two Grammy awards and two Emmys according to People.
The dog comedy Marley & Me is #1 at the Christmas day box office according to Nikki Finke's Deadline Hollywood Daily. The film took in $15 million, followed by The Curious Case of Benjamin Button which came in at $11 million.
Reality TV producer Mark Burnett will reportedly set up kiosks in shopping malls and college campuses in which people can audition for his shows in hi-def video for $20, possibly being cast on Survivor or The Apprentice, according to Page Six.
