Morning Buzz: Kelly Rutherford Scared Ex Will Flee With Child
Gossip Girl actress Kelly Rutherford has filed emergency court papers in an attempt to bar her estranged husband David Giersch from leaving the country with their two-year-old son Hermes. People reports that Rutherford, who is pregnant with their second child, filed for divorce last month after two years of marriage. She is reportedly afraid that Giersch will leave the country and disappear with their son. Rutherford mentioned in her papers that there is a pending investigation against Giersch in his native Germany which could could lead to his eventual arrest. "I feel there is some risk that he will leave the country with Hermes and I will not know where they are," Rutherford stated.
NBC's Deal Or No Deal host Howie Mandel was rushed to the hospital in Toronto last night with severe chest pains. TMZ reports that Mandel was found conscious in an elevator in at the Sheraton Hotel on Queen Street by police. Mandel was held overnight and being treated for an irregular heartbeat. Sources say that he wasn't suffering from a heart attack, but from exhaustion.
Ex-Danity Kane member Aubrey O'Day will appear on the cover of the March issue of Playboy. O'Day told Us that "I'm honored to be a part of the Playboy legacy and look forward to my March cover hitting newsstands on February 13."
A Burbank judge has approved a restraining order for Jennifer Love Hewitt against a 62-year-old stalker. TMZ reports that David Nolte has sent Love Hewitt over 100 letters detailing graphic and violent sexual fantasies involving the Ghost Whisperer actress. Nolte is banned from being anywhere near Hewitt, as well as the Universal Studios lot where she tapes her show, and her mother's house (where Nolte showed up last month).
It's not NBC's day. Law & Order SVU actress Mariska Hargitay was taken to the hospital for a collaspsed lung. "Mariska Hargitay has been sidelined with a pneumothorax (a partially collapsed lung)," her rep told People. TMZ reports that Hargitay also suffered the same problem over the holidays. Her rep says that she will not miss any episodes of her hit NBC show this season despite her medical issues.
