Christina Aguilera Throws Max a ‘Wild’ Party

Christina Aguilera threw her son Max Liron a storybook party for his first birthday on Saturday afternoon.

Max, Aguilera’s son with 31-year-old husband Jordan Bratman, was treated to a gathering with classic children’s book Where the Wild Things Are as a theme.

Kind of a 180 from Aguilera’s own recent 28th birthday bash, which had the ultraviolent film classic A Clockwork Orange as its theme.

Characters in costumes from the book were special guests at the party, potentially terrifying Max and other young guests such as Harlow Madden, 1.

Harlow was there with her celebrity parents, The Simple Life alumnus Nicole Richie and her not-quite-fiance Joel Madden of the band Good Charlotte.

No matter how “wild” the party was, it probably didn’t top Richie and Madden’s recent Magic Mountain jaunt.

People reports that the 40 guests at Max’s Beverly Hills party dined on peanut butter and jelly sandwiches from L.A. caterer Along Came Mary, while multi-colored balloons bobbed.

Britney Spears and sons Jayden James Federline and Sean Preston Ferderline  were NOT among the invitees despite Christina’s recent assertion that she has no problem with her rumored rival and former Mickey Mouse Club co-star.
