Mariah Carey's Inaugural Snub
Fluttering songbird Mariah Carey is still sporting a gargantuan sense of entitlement.
The New York Post reports that the 38-year-old, high-pitched singer bailed on the inauguration ceremony for President Barack Obama on Tuesday—because she was "furious" that she wasn't seated directly with the First Couple.
Carey—who sang "Hero" at the Neighborhood Inaugural Ball—was seated "in the VIP area, where every celebrity, like Jon Bon Jovi, Mary J. Blige, Alicia Keys and Bruce Springsteen, was seated. But somehow she thought she'd be up with the Obama family. When she realized she wasn't, she bailed," a mole tells the paper.
A rep for Carey declined to comment on the matter. Probably because he was making travel arrangements for his client's massive luggage collection.
Mariah apparently wasn't the only drama queen at the festivities. Her former beau, Sean "Diddy" Combs, was also reportedly miffed that he wasn't invited to perform at any of the official events, along with the fact that Jay-Z had a more prominent presence at the festivities.
Combs' mouthpiece, however, says that the inauguration was "one of the greatest moments of his life. Sean was invited to the inauguration and was seated third row, with Jay-Z, at the ceremony."
Didn't anyone ever tell Diddy that, when it comes to government, you get what you pay for?
