Kate Winslet at the Santa Barbara Film Festival
Kate Winslet wowed the crowd at the Santa Barbara Film Festival on Friday evening.
The 33-year-old, who stole the show at the Golden Globes two weekends ago with two awards, recieved the Montecito Award in Santa Barbara's Arlington Theatre.
The Montecito Award is handed to actors who have given signficant performances in their career. Santa Barbara International Film Festival Director Roger Durling gushed, "I have had a cinematic crush on Kate Winslet since her first movie. She’s my favorite actress of all time…and she will always have a home here at the festival!"
The film festival is celebrating its 24th year, featuring over 200 movies and 21 different World Premieres. Smack in between the Golden Globes and the Oscars, the 11 day festival is one of the top events in the film world.
