Fergie and Josh Duhamel: The Honeymoon's Over
Given that Fergie and Josh Duhamel waited five years to tie the knot, you might think that they'd take a little more time to savor the moment.
But just two weeks after jetting off for their honeymoon following their January 10 wedding at Malibu's Church Estates Vineyards, the newlyweds came back to Los Angeles on Monday. (Hey, show-biz doesn't wait, just because a guy and a gal decide to join each other in holy matrimony.)
The Black Eyed Peas songstress (born Stacey Ferguson), 33, and her 36-year-old Transformers actor-hubby spent their honeymoon in the Maldives Islands. The two enjoyed scuba diving, kayaking, sailing and spa time, reports Us Weekly. (From the looks of Josh's mega-tan, it looks like he also spent considerable time catching some rays.)
"[They] wanted to get as far away as possible and just unwind," a source tells the magazine.
Even before touching back down together in Los Angeles, the pair had already resumed their celebri-duties over the weekend: Josh's philanthropic impulses drew him to the Michael Jordan Celebrity Invitational golf tournament on Paradise Island in the Bahamas, while Fergie ripped through a set of her hits at the MJCI Charity Celebration Galas, held at that island's Atlantis resort.
With that kind of hectic schedule, no wonder the two are considering adoption as opposed to going the traditional route, according to the National Enquirer.
A source tells the tabloid that the two have been debating their spawning schedule, with Josh pushing for an immediate pregnancy campaign and Fergie reluctant to sideline her career for the sake of childbirth.
As a compromise, the pair "are seriously considering adopting," says the insider. "The two decided that adopting is the perfect solution. They can start their family without Fergie having to put her career on hold."
What a noble choice! Hopefully they won't, you know, go overboard with the whole thing.
