Olivia Palermo Is Acting Out
Sounds like Olivia Palermo is looking to follow in Audrina Patridge's footsteps and transition from MTV reality show to drama.
The New York Post reports that New York socialite Palermo—who pals around with Whitney Port on the Port-starring Hills spinoff The City—is using her role on the show as a jumping-off point for an acting career. Get the latest on Whitney's whereabouts here.
Palermo was on hand for the grand opening of the W Hotel in Atlanta last week, where a mole spotted the 22-year-old spouting off about her post-City ambitions.
"Olivia was talking about how she wants to be a serious actress but that acting is so much harder than she thought it would be," the spy reveals.
Palermo was also overheard telling an attendee, "I'm shooting The City to get used to being in front of the camera."
If Olivia really wants to learn how to act naturally in front of the camera, she should consult her castmate James Donahue for advice. In addition to his work on The City, he also has his extensive mug shot experience.
