Dakota Fanning, Camilla Belle Get 'Push'-y
The sci-fi thriller Push—about a group of American expatriates with telekinetic and clairvoyant powers—premiered at Los Angeles' Mann Village Theater on Thursday night.
But the assembled cast and attendees at the event brought up a lot of speculation about another movie altogether: Twilight sequel New Moon.
Push—which opens nationwide on February 6—stars Dakota Fanning, 14, who's up for the role of Jane in the upcoming Twilight sequel.
And who should show up to check out the new flick? A gaggle of Twilight-ers, including Ashley Greene, Rachelle Lefevre, Edi Gagethi and Kellan Lutz.
Interestingly enough, both Push and the Twilight movies are produced by Summit Entertainment. Is the company sending a not-so-subtle sign that Dakota is a done deal for New Moon, which begins filming in March?
Further solidifying the Twilight-Push connection is Robert Pattinson pal Camilla Belle, who plays Kira Hudson in Push. Hopefully, Belle didn't put Dakota off the idea of signing on for New Moon with frightening tales of the Twilight camp's grueling media-training program.
Push star Djimon Hounsou was also on hand for the premiere with his girlfriend, recently divorced Kimora Lee Simmons, who's definitely showing signs of her recently announced pregnancy these days.
But really, can the imminent arrival of a new life in this world really compare to the excitement of speculating over a Twilight sequel?
