Morning Buzz: Fitness DVD Producer’s Revenge On Jessica Simpson
The producer of the unreleased fitness DVD that Jessica Simpson shot in 2005 is taking revenge on the singer by releasing the footage to the Internet. Speedfit Inc. CEO Alex Astilean is reportedly suing Jessica Simpson for not signing off on the fitness DVD because of its bad production values, according to Page Six. Simpson’s lawyers have told Astilean that she would if the vid was fixed. Astilean, in response to Simpson’s current weight controversy, has put the video on YouTube. The clip shows a more slender Simpson working out. “At least now she will get to feel how it is to be fat,” Astilean says.
Britney Spears will reportedly cancel her upcoming The Circus starring Britney Spears tour if she is not allowed to take her sons with her while on the road. TMZ reports that Spears, ex-husband Kevin Federline, and her father and conservator Jamie Spears had worked out a plan for Britney to establish three home bases throughout the country for her sons. They would travel between the three houses (in New Jersey, New Orleans, and LA) and Britney would commute back and forth to be able to see them during her tour. Federline’s lawyers allegedly learned of the plan and are furious for undisclosed reasons. Spears won’t tour unless she’s allowed to bring her children, according to sources.
“Stay” singer Lisa Loeb married Late Night with Conan O’Brien music supervisor Roey Hershkovitz on Saturday, according to Us. The couple were engaged in November of 2008 and were married in front of 275 guests at an NYC restaurant. Loeb starred in a 2006 E! show called #1 Single which documented her attempts to find a boyfriend.
The helicopter that Motley Crue drummer Tommy Lee was traveling in was forced to land at Van Nuys airport in California after “flying erratically” and too close to an LAPD helicopter on Saturday. TMZ reports that the pilot informed police that he and Lee had a celebratory drink when they landed. He was detained and given a blood alcohol test which proved inconclusive. Lee was returning from Palm Springs during the incident, and left the airport before police arrived.
Amy Winehouse has reportedly asked her parents Mitch and Janis to oversee her $21 million fortune. The Mirror reports that Winehouse’s father flew to St. Lucia (where the rock star is currently spending an extended holiday) to have her sign off on control of her money. “Everyone is pleased because it means Amy is listening to good advice,” a source said. “It’s still her money and nobody else can touch it. But this stops her doing anything stupid. And it is evidence that Amy is really turning her life around.”
