Chris Brown’s Biological Dad Speaks Out

Clinton Brown, the biological father of singer Chris Brown, has spoken out regarding the alleged abuse committed by his son.

People magazine reached the Virginia native in their hometown of Tappahannock, where the elder Brown revealed that his 19-year-old is “reflecting on this situation.”

The situation at hand is his Grammy weekend arrest under suspicion of felony battery, the victim of which is speculated largely to be the singer’s girlfriend Rihanna, 20.

“He’s very remorseful. He’s very concerned about the situation and he wants to make sure that [Rihanna’s] okay,” said Brown.

“This is unfortunate, this stumble, this situation…hopefully, he will get past it. We all have our shortcomings. We all trip.”

Clinton confirms that Chris is back at home “regrouping.” While there’s no indication the pop star is aware of public feedback, Clinton shares a message for all of Chris’ fans.

“If you are on his side, you are on his side. Just because someone trips, if you are truly a fan, you are not going to demonize him instantaneously,” said Brown.

Chris is due in court on March 5th in Los Angeles.
