Rihanna Admitted Ongoing Abuse In Relationship

A new report alleges that singer Rihanna, 20, confessed to police that there was ongoing physical abuse in her relationship with boyfriend Chris Brown, 19.

TMZ cites law enforcement sources that claim Rihanna, while cooperating with police into their investigation of Brown’s alleged violent attack on her, confessed that it was not the first time Chris Brown had hit her.

Sources close to the singer have also recently revealed that she exhibited bruises on her neck in December of last year, and indicated at the time that they might have caused by Brown.

More details about the incident, which occurred in the early morning on February 8 in the Hancock Park area of Los Angeles, have come to light.

Rihanna has reportedly told police that an argument erupted between the couple after she was said to have discovered a text message on Brown’s phone from another woman.

During the argument, Brown allegedly began hitting her.

At this point (and according to the police report), Rihanna is said to have pretended to make a phone call in which she said “he’s dropping me off. Make sure the cops are there.”

This was the point in which Brown was said to have begun uttering the threats which led to his felony threats charge. He is out on $50,000 bail and goes to trial on March 5.

A law enforcement source has been quoted as saying the charge is “weak.”

“It’s kinda weak, and the D.A. is not going to prosecute a high profile case like this unless it’s solid.”

The case has since been referred back to law enforcement for further investigation by the Los Angeles district attorney’s office.
