Lindsay and Samantha’s Totally Sick Valentine’s Day
Lindsay Lohan and Samantha Ronson didn’t have the best Valentine’s Day yesterday—and it had nothing to do with papa Michael Lohan’s constant meddling in their relationship.
People magazine reports that Lohan, 22, and her 31-year-old DJ companion Ronson had to cancel a Valentine’s gig in Florida yesterday because of illness. Though the exact nature of the illness seems to be a point of debate.
The two were scheduled to host and spin music at Passions, a nightclub located at the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Hollywood, Florida. According to Amanda Senoff, director of marketing for the club, “Lindsay and Samantha stayed out late last night in New York City, and are not feeling well. A doctor said Sam was too sick with the flu to travel and Lindsay is also feeling sick.”
Meanwhile, a source close to Ronson tells the magazine, “They are both sick with ear infections. Sam needs her ears, and flying with an ear infection is a risk that she can’t really afford to take.”
Ronson expresses regret at the missed gig, but maintains the cancellation was necessary, no matter what anyone else might say. “We really feel bad, and I work sick when I can, but unfortunately I couldn’t drive to Miami, so I’m stuck in New York City with doctor’s orders not to fly,” Ronson told People. “Any reports otherwise are false and unfair.”
The gig has been rescheduled for March 7.
