Rihanna Resurfaces Post-Assault

UPDATE: Rihanna’s rep has just released a statement on the singer’s behalf, Usmagazine.com reports.

The statement asserts that Rihanna is “not commenting about the incident involving Chris Brown.” It goes on to state, “[Rihanna] wants to assure her fans that she remains strong, is doing well, and deeply appreciates the outpouring of support she has received during this difficult time.”

Rihanna, who was allegedly assaulted by her boyfriend Chris Brown following a pre-Grammys party on February 8, was spotted by OK! Magazine last night.

Photogs spotted the singer leaving her Los Angeles home in a vehicle being driven by an unknown male companion on the eve of her 21st birthday.

Another male in the front passenger seat attempted to block the paparazzi’s view of the singer, who wore dark glasses and appeared to slump down in her seat as the photographers snapped away.

News of the purported incident between Rihanna and Brown has dominated the news for the past two weeks.

Yesterday, the Los Angeles Police Department launched an investigation after a photo supposedly depicting the singer’s injuries leaked onto the Internet.
