Jackman Is Tops For Show Highlights

This truly was a singing and dancing Academy Awards. Host Hugh Jackman showed that from moment one with his “low-budget” opening number. The hilarious routine got the show off to a wild start, especially when Anne Hathaway was pulled out of her seat to join him on stage (as Shirley MacLaine noted later from the stage, who knew the girl could sing like that).

It doesn’t appear we’ll be forgetting about the Craigslist dancers anytime soon. And Jackman’s massively-condensed Benjamin Button had Brad Pitt applauding.

The show took a more somber turn later on when Queen Latifah sang through the memorial of actors who died over the past year.
