Mischa Barton on Weight Concerns: She's "Happier and Healthier Than Ever."
Mischa Barton has taken to her personal blog to shoot down persistent media reports about her apparent weight-loss.
"There's been a lot of crazy press about my weight," Barton says on the blog. "I'm happier and healthier than ever. Things are really well in Mischa world. There's nothing drastic going on."
Last week, In Touch magazine featured a second cover story which featured Barton with the title "Wasting Away," one of many recent such articles in print and on the internet.
Barton says that, rather than anything unhealthy going on, recent trips away from America have "helped me to lose a little bit of weight."
"I've been watching what I eat," she blogs. "I still love my pilates and yoga and I have cut back on fatty foods a bit."
Mischa looks radiant on the cover of FHM magazine's April issue.
In an exclusive statement to Celebuzz, Barton laments the celeb-media industry, equating it to the "mean girls in high school."
"One minute, I'm too fat, the next I'm too skinny," Barton says in the statement. "(The press) is always looking to start rumors and create drama."
The fact that the stories have only escalated forced her to take a stand. "Honestly I think this whole situation is ridiculous," she writes to Celebuzz. "But there comes a time when you have to address these things."
