Brit Music Awards to Jonas Brothers: 'You're the Worst!'

Brit Music Awards to Jonas Brothers: 'You're the Worst!'-photo

The Jonas Brothers may have plenty of fans in the U.S., but across the Atlantic it's a whole other story.

British music newspaper New Musical Express reports that Nick, Joe and Kevin Jonas received Worst Band honors at last night's Shockwaves NME Awards, held in London.

The JoBros beat out Scouting for Girls, Oasis, Tokio Hotel and Fall Out Boy for the dubious distinction.

Adding insult to, well, insult, the virginity poster boys also scored Worst Album honors.

Ooh; sick burn, NME! No doubt the JoBros are wiping the tears from their eyes with $1,000 bills right now.

It's a safe bet that at least one country-music songbird is having over a chuckle over the situation, though...

what i am 13 and i have never heard of the nme awards before and i think the jonas brothers are brilliant all round so i just hope this stupid british thing does not make them never wanna come back to england. p.s has our country really stooped so low that they have had to come up with another award show

The British are the masters of music. They have ruled the 60s, 70s, 80s, 90s, and still rule now. They know more about music than any of the 12 year old Jonas Brothers fan girls know. They made a good choice at giving this award to the Jonas Brothers. I hope the Jonas Brothers burn in hell.

Face it the jo bros are just a bunch of kids that became famous because they look good. Man, thats all it takes today to make a successful band like this. I mean really if they looked alot worse most of their fanbase (consisting of teen girls) would be gone. I think the award suits those bros.

not sure if anyone in the USA or anything knows about NME, but its a cheap sh*t version of kerrang, and only very rarely play even slightly decent music, i'm being serious. so the jonas brothers shouldn't take that award to offence, they should award NME with the "sh*ttest wannabes ever" award (:

I agree, Julie. I read NME when I was a britpop obessed teen...12 years later, I am glad I've learned to get beyond scene music, and marketing. I think the Jonas Brothers are great!

NME is a music rag for 14 year old indie scene kids. You have to feel sorry for them really.
