Jade Goody: A Call From Michael Jackson
Jade Goody, bravely facing the end stages of cervical cancer, received a phone call from one of the world's most mysterious celebrities.
The Sun reports that Michael Jackson, 50, phoned Goody at her hospital bedside with a message of support.
Goody said that she was "blown away" by the call, in which MJ promised to get Goody VIP tickets for her, husband Jack Tweedy, and her two young songs to his show at London's O2 Arena in July.
Jackson was in London to announce his show, and was said to have heard about Jade's condition and demanded to speak to her.
“He learned of Jade’s suffering and wanted to lend his support and comfort her at this awful time. When she was told Michael was on the phone her eyes lit up and she mustered all the strength she could to have a chat," a source said.
Michael's brother Jermaine Jackson appeared alongside Goody on Celebrity Big Brother in 2007.
Goody is said to be a lifelong fan of the "Thriller" singer, and the phone chat was said to have thrilled her.
“It gave her a real boost and hope that she’ll be alive to watch him perform in the summer," the source added.
