Lindsay Lohan Is a Free Woman!
Justice has been served for Lindsay Lohan!
E! Online reports that Lohan's attorney, Shawn Chapman Holley, met with Judge Marshall Revel at a Beverly Hills courthouse early this morning and came to an agreement to have a $50,000 warrant against Lohan dropped.
The arrest warrant was issued on Friday after the court received a letter of noncompliance from Lohan's alcohol treatment program. (Lohan was ordered into the program as a condition of her probation following her May 2007 DUI arrest.)
However, after reviewing the facts, Judge Revel found that Lohan had been in compliance with the program; she just hadn't provided proof of her compliance. Revel emphasized that Lohan hadn't failed any tests while in the program.
"As I indicated over the weekend, there was a misunderstanding," Lohan's lawyer Holley told reporters afterward. "Ms. Lohan has been in compliance and she continues to be in compliance."
Lohan will start a new program and will be required to prove proof of enrollment by April 3.
The issuance of the warrant kicked off a tumultuous weekend for the 22-year-old star. On Saturday, police were called to gal-pal Samantha Ronson's house after a window was broken during a quarrel. Lohan also hit Chateau Marmont that night, and paid a late-night visit with friends to the home of actor Jack Nicholson.
