Madonna Gearing Up to Adopt Again?

Is Madonna preparing to play Adopto-mom in Malawi again?

People magazine reports that the 50-year-old singer is contemplating adopting another child from the African nation. (Madonna’s adoption of Malawian boy David Banda, 3, was finalized last May.)

The Material Mom recently told Malawian newspaper Nation that adopting another child from the country is “something I have been considering. But [I] would only do if I had the support of the Malawian people and the government.”

Madonna went on to say, “Many people—especially our Malawian friends—say that David should have a Malawian brother or sister.” The singer’s publicist, Liz Rosenberg, confirms her client’s interest in adding to her brood, noting, “Madonna has stated many times that she’d love to adopt again.”

If Madonna does decide to expand her family via adoption, her New York apartment is going to start to get pretty crowded. Recently she was granted permission to Banda and son Rocco, 8, to New York, where their 12-year-old half-sister, Lourdes, already lives.

And just yesterday news broke that she had taken a 22-year-old man-child under her care.
