Adnan Ghalib Gets Three-Year Legal Time-Out
Adnan Ghalib will have to find something else to occupy his time with for a while.
TMZ reports that Ghalib was hit with a three-year restraining order barring him from having any contact whatsoever with his former client today.
Ghalib and Britney's father/conservator, Jamie Spears, have been locked in a messy legal battle in recent months. The elder Spears claims that Ghalib, collaborating with former Spears manager Osama "Sam" Lutfi and her would-be attorney Jon Eardley, has been trying to sabotage his conservator-ship.
In late February, Los Angeles Superior Court Judge Aviva K. Bobb extended temporary restraining orders against Ghalib, Lutfi and Eardley until evidence in the case could be thoroughly reviewed. However, after Ghalib failed to show up for a hearing today, Bobb granted a three-year restraining order.
Lutfi and Eardley's temporary restraining orders were also extended until an April 1 hearing.
This isn't the only legal setback Ghalib has experienced lately; in February he was charged with three felony counts of assault with a deadly weapon, battery, and hit and run after allegedly running down a process server who was trying to serve him legal papers from Britney.
Maybe he can use his three-year time-out to take driving-safety lessons.
