Natasha Richards Passes in New York City
Actress Natasha Richardson has died.
"Liam Neeson, his sons, and the entire family are shocked and devastated by the tragic death of their beloved Natasha," a rep said on behalf of actor Nesson, Richardson's husband.
"They are profoundly grateful for the support, love and prayers of everyone, and ask for privacy during this very difficult time."
In the past two days, a whirlwind of speculation surrounded the tragic circumstances of a skiing accident endured by 45-year-old Richardson.
At a resort near Montreal, where her husband Neeson was filming an upcoming movie, Richardson fell during on a beginners slope during a lesson, suffering head trauma.
The actress walked from the scene, but hours later complained of headaches and was admitted to a nearby hospital, later transferred to a larger medical center in Montreal.

This is a very sad situation, and I still can't believe it. My sympathy is with them and I would like to pray to God to help the family members through these rough moments.
So incredibly sad. I think Natasha showed a wonderful economy in the roles she chose. Her most recent, and likely memorable, was opposite her mom Vanessa Redgrave in "Evening." As a daughter struggling with the mortality of her own mother, and confronting all the things unchangeable about their shared pasts, Richardson. was beautiful. As was her real life, children and her various passions. My thoughts are with her family.
