Prince William Has a 'Harry Potter' Scar
If Prince William seems to have a special glow about him, it's probably due to a childhood injury.
In an interview for a children's television program, William pointed out that he has a "Harry Potter" scar on his forehead that glows, according to AFP (via Yahoo! News).
The elder son of Prince Charles was answering young patients' questions at London's Royal Marsden Hospital when the topic of his unusual marking popped up.
"That was for my Harry Potter scar, as I call it, just here," he noted, pointing toward the scar. "I call it that because it glows sometimes and some people notice it—other times they don't notice it at all. I got hit by a golf club when I was playing golf with a friend of mine. Yeah, we were on a putting green and the next thing you know there was a seven-iron and it came out of nowhere and it hit me in the head."
When asked by the kids what he wanted to be when he was growing up, William answered that he wanted to go into law enforcement.
"A long time ago I wanted to be a policeman, when I was younger. I soon learnt that probably wasn't a good idea," he answered.
William—who's currently undergoing training with Britain's Royal Air Force—also noted that he's good with helicopters. Or at least, he thinks he is.
"It's going very well. My [flight] instructors would probably say 'not so well,' but I think it's going not too badly. I haven't managed to dent any of the aircraft, I haven't flown into any trees yet, so... it's going OK," he joked.
Of course, with that glowing forehead scar of his, William has an advantage as far as visibility is concerned.
