Jenny McCarthy Is in ‘Shape’—and How!

Yowza! Jenny McCarthy graces the cover of the May 2009 Shape magazine, and if nothing else her bikini body gives the world one more reason to resent her boyfriend, Jim Carrey.

And because she’s giving as well as fit, 36-year-old mother and former Singled Out host shares her secrets to staying in shape with the world at large.

Her biggest weapons? Yoga and dietary moderation. The latter of which she learned from Weight Watchers after giving birth to her son Evan in 2002.

“I thought I might be 170 when I left the hospital, but no, I was 200!” McCarthy recalls. “[Weight watchers] taught me portion control and to be conscious of what I put in my mouth.”

Typical meals for McCarthy these days include egg-white omelets, pureed fresh fruit and vegetables, and “those little packets of fish from Starbucks” if she needs a snack.

As for the yoga, McCarthy admits that she’s gotten her beau Carrey into the act. “I’ve seen him eyeing my toned arms,” McCarthy says. “I give it six months before I find him twisted into a pretzel!”
