Katherine Heigl Will Go 'Grey' if They Ask Her
Does Katherine Heigl's character. Dr. Izzie Stevens, have a future on Grey's Anatomy? Heigl says she doesn't know—but she's up for it if the show's producers will have her. Heigl's four-year tenure on the hit medical show has been a rocky one. Earlier this year she was rumored to be leaving the show, and it's even been suggested that producers plan to kill off her character with a brain tumor as revenge for ungracious remarks she's made about her character's development. As of now, the fate of her character is still up in the air, Heigl admits to the Associated Press. "I was assuming that [Stevens would get killed off] at one point and I got a lot of shrugged shoulders and shakes of the head, so I don't know if that's a yes or a no," Heigl says. "No one will tell me and I don't know how this is going to go." But if Stevens' life is somehow spared by the Grey's writers and producers, she says, "I'm there." Heigl adds that the Grey's Anatomy set is "one of my favorite places to be." As for juggling her television schedule with a blossoming movie career, the Knocked Up actress says she's willing to burn the candle at both ends. "I'm more than happy to make that compromise," Heigl notes. "As my agent likes to say, 'High-class problems.'" And as everyone knows, Katherine Heigl is all about keeping things classy.
