Material Mom Madonna, 50, arrived in the African country of Malawi on Sunday, in preparation for an adoption hearing that is expected to take place this week.

The Hard Candy singer has filed adoption papers for three-year-old Malawian girl Mercy James and, despite the moral reservations of some Malawian officials, a hearing may take place as soon as tomorrow.

In the meantime Madonna, joined by her 12-year-old daughter Lourdes, toured the poverty-stricken village of Chinkhota. Though she refused to discuss the adoption issue with reporters, according to the Associated Press she said it was "amazing" to be back in Malawi, where she adopted son David Banda after a protracted proceeding that began in 2006 and was finalized in May 2008.

The singer, who wore a white fedora for the occasion, also visited a school that's funded by her Raising Malawi organization.

When is this emotional vampire going to stop? Somebody should tell her it's obscene to use your money, fame and power to play God with the least fortunate among us. She's unbelieveable, even for an aging pop star who has become a narcissistic cougar feminist and who attempts to elevate herself by debasing and bastardizing others' religion. Nobody has said "no" to this woman in several decades. Maybe it's time.
